1. House of the Dragon – Season 2
House of the Dragon season 2 first-look posters demand ‘blood for blood’
HBO released striking character posters featuring Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, each bearing the taglines “blood for blood” and “fire to fire,” signaling the intensifying Targaryen civil war.

The first trailer for the “Game of Thrones” prequel’s return is dropping on Saturday. In the meantime, see Olivia Cooke’s Alicent Hightower and Emma D’Arcy’s Rhaenyra Targaryen on the brink of war.
Emma D’Arcy’s Rhaenyra Targaryen and Olivia Cooke‘s Alicent Hightower are ready to burn down the house.
The two Game of Thrones power players return in first-look posters at House of the Dragon season 2, which arrive a day before HBO plans to release the first trailer for all to see out of the CCXP fan convention in Brazil.
After the sizzling season 1 finale, which brought a major death, Rhaenyra and Alicent are demanding “blood for blood” and “fire to fire” in the two new one-sheets.
House of the Dragon, from showrunner Ryan Condal, chronicles the Dance of the Dragons, a brutal years-long conflict from Westeros history that devastated the once-imperious Targaryen Empire. Season 1 laid the groundwork for the coming devastation: Rhaenyra was her father’s chosen heir to the Iron Throne, but the Hand of the King, Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), and his supporters usurped the Westeros crown for his grandson, Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney).
After Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) lost control of his dragon Vhagar and killed Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys, all bets are now off. Season 2 will premiere sometime in the summer of 2024, HBO previously revealed.
Matt Smith, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham. Abubakar Salim, Gayle Rankin, Freddie Fox, and Simon Russell Beale will also appear in the new season.
In a tweet on Friday, HBO confirmed “75 seconds” of a first-look trailer will be arriving. Until then, pore over the two posters above.
2. The Last of Us – Season 2

3. Shōgun – Season 2
While official Season 2 posters are yet to be released, FX has announced that production will commence soon.

3 Body Problem is easily one of Netflix’s most ambitious series, brought to life by the duo behind HBO’s Game of Thrones. The show (mostly) delivered on expectations, leading to a two-season renewal that will take the story to its conclusion. It’s now been a year since the show hit our screens, and we’ve finally got some new details on when and, perhaps just as importantly, where season 2 will be filming.
Although some time has passed since that announcement and production has not officially begun, that’s about to change. Early production plans have now been revealed, with both upcoming seasons likely set to be filmed back to back, akin to the recent example of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was similarly renewed for a second and third season together.
Until now, most production listing websites, such as UKCasting News, ProductionIntelligence, and ProductionWeekly, have listed a Spring 2025 start in the United Kingdom for season 2 and a similar timeline for season 3, taking production through early 2027. A recent listing stated an April 2025 start with production scheduled for April 2026, with Jeremy Podeswa and Miguel Sapochnik set to direct. Netflix, in an email to us, said this information was inaccurate.
New documents, seen by What’s on Netflix, suggest that much of the filming for seasons 2 and 3 will occur in Hungary. This is a notable change from season 1, which was filmed mainly in the United Kingdom, including across London under the codename Straight Shooter.
4. Severance – Season 2
Severance, TV’s most mind-bending show, returns: ‘Even my landlord asked what’s going on with the goats’

Who is in charge? What are they working on? And why is there livestock in the office? The deliciously weird workplace drama has finally returned, but can it live up to expectations and answer its many mysteries? The show’s cast and creator (try to) reveal all.
Amonth before Severance first aired in February 2022, billboards emblazoned with huge images of Adam Scott wearing a thousand-yard stare began to spring up around Los Angeles. “You always think it’s going to be this joyful moment when you see something like that,” says Scott, the show’s star and one of its producers. He appeared on the posters alongside the tagline “We’re all different people at work”, a wink to the premise of the series, a twisty, darkly comic thriller about office workers who have an experimental chip implanted into their brains in order to forget their work lives outside the office, and vice versa.
Scott had, he adds, “been waiting a long time for that moment – but I had this immediate adverse reaction. I got nauseous and my palms started sweating, because we had no idea how this thing would be received.” He had found Severance “fascinating and sad and funny” and thought it was something special, but it had been filmed in a Covid bubble and, he adds, “you never know”. Despite a TV career that has included the likes of Parks and Recreation and Big Little Lies, he was worried that he was about to become the face of a flop. “This is a weird show,” he says. “I thought maybe people were going to think we were weirdos.”
5. The Regime
HBO’s official poster for “The Regime” features Kate Winslet as Chancellor Elena Vernham, capturing the show’s satirical tone.

The Regime is an American political satire miniseries from HBO starring Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, and Hugh Grant. Will Tracy is writer and executive producer on the series, with Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs directing episodes and executive-producing. Winslet, Frank Rich, and Tracey Seaward are also executive producers. Winslet plays Elena Vernham, a dictator ruling precariously over a fictional Central European country.
6. 3 Body Problem – Season 2
Marvel released official posters for “Daredevil: Born Again,” showcasing Charlie Cox’s return as the titular hero.

8. The Night Agent – Season 2
Netflix’s Tudum platform shared first-look photos from Season 2, featuring Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland in various intense scenarios.
9. The Sympathizer
HBO’s official website features promotional images for “The Sympathizer,” highlighting the show’s espionage themes and Robert Downey Jr.’s multiple roles.
Based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Sympathizer is an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles, where he learns that his spying days aren’t over.
Starring Hoa Xuande, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Phanxinê, Vy Le, Ky Duyen, Kieu Chinh, Duy Nguyen, Alan Trong, with Sandra Oh and Robert Downey Jr.

10. Ripley
Netflix released exclusive character posters for “Ripley,” with Andrew Scott portraying the enigmatic Tom Ripley.

Ripley is a 2024 American neo-noir psychological thriller miniseries that premiered on Netflix on April 4, 2024. Created, written, and directed by Steven Zaillian, the series is based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley. It stars Andrew Scott as Tom Ripley, with Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood and Johnny Flynn as Dickie Greenleaf.
Plot Summary
Set in the early 1960s, the series follows Tom Ripley, a small-time grifter scraping by in New York City. He is hired by a wealthy shipbuilder, Herbert Greenleaf, to travel to Italy and persuade his son, Dickie Greenleaf, to return home. Upon arriving in Italy, Tom becomes enamored with Dickie’s luxurious lifestyle and gradually becomes obsessed with him. This obsession leads Tom down a dark path of deceit, fraud, and murder as he assumes Dickie’s identity and attempts to maintain the charade.
Production and Style
“Ripley” is notable for its distinctive black-and-white cinematography, which adds a classic noir aesthetic to the series. The deliberate pacing allows for a deep exploration of Tom Ripley’s complex character and the psychological tension that underpins the narrative.
Reception
The series received critical acclaim for its writing, direction, and performances, particularly Andrew Scott’s portrayal of Tom Ripley. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds an 86% approval rating based on 137 reviews, with critics praising its sumptuous reinterpretation of Highsmith’s novel. The series garnered 14 nominations at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and acting nods for Scott and Fanning, winning four awards.
